Major duties
Description of duties
1. Develop and manage Quality Assurance programs and activities that will ensure Compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including GMP (Good manufacturing practice) and HACCP. Percentage of time 20%
2. To integrate quality assurance and quality control into all functions and people. 20%
3. Introduce, monitor and update quality and food safety programs in connection with other departments to meet company and regulatory objectives ,quality control testing framework, microbiological testing framework, HACCP, food safety and defined procedures, GMP's, pest management and housekeeping/sanitation practices. Percentage of time 10%
4. To maintain quality standards for product components and finished products to work with local suppliers. Percentage of time 10%
5. Detailed auditing of own production areas in relation to cleaning schedules, hygiene procedures, product and packaging quality as well as checking quality on incoming products. Percentage of time 10%
6. Ensure all documentation & records are logged & controlled. Percentage of time 5%
7. Establish an action plan for all findings raised in internal / external audits. Percentage of time 5%
8. Ensure monthly safety meetings are conducted and recommendations with management follow up with the kitchen restaurants forecasting. Percentage of time 5%
9. To continuously review and further refine procedures that ensure quality and company standards in food and in other operational procedures. Percentage of time 10%
10. Schedule & chair Management review & HACCP meetings. Percentage of time 5%
Requirements
Qualifications A pass in Bachelors or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Quality Assurance/Food Quality Control preferred with minimum 5 to 10years experience in the industry with bigger scale operations.
Skills Problem solving and Decision making skills, Leadership skills, Financial skills, Critical and Analytical skills, Planning and Organizing skill, Ability to work under stress, Interpersonal skills, Advisory and Consultation ability, Counseling skills and he/she should be a Team player.
Knowledge Proficiency in MS-Office package, Knowledge on industry best practices.
